Detective (Ret) Ray Marcom is an experienced criminal investigator and background investigator, and a licensed and insured Private Investigator in Oregon.
Detective Marcom began his career as a military police officer and Command Investigator in the United States Navy (US Navy Master-At-Arms) where he investigated assaults, thefts, drug crimes, criminal mischief, gang related crimes, unattended or suspicious deaths, and conducted surveillance with NCIS on workers compensation fraud suspects.
After 7 years with the US Navy he left active duty and was hired as a Federal Correctional Officer with the US Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons. A year later he joined the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Before retiring from the Washington County Sheriff's office in 2012 he was assigned as a Detective on the Violent Crimes Unit, a Detective in the Child Abuse Investigations Unit, a Deputy on the Inter Agency Gang Enforcement Team, a Detective on the Washington County Major Crimes Team, and coordinated the Sex Offender Management Program. Detective Marcom was a patrol Corporal and Field Training Officer prior to Detective assignments. He was also an FBI trained Crisis/Hostage Negotiator, a member of the Oregon Department of Justice Terrorism Threat Assessment Network and a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
